Girls are the most powerful weapon against poverty.
On the launch of the first International Day Of The Girl, we created a cinematic call-to-arms to powerfully dramatise the disproportionately positive impact girls can have on their communities when they have access to an education, alongside a variety of PR events around the Southbank Centre on the day of launch. These included a series of ‘Plan Talks’ from successful women highlighting how education allowed them to thrive, and a speed-mentoring event on the London Eye that aimed to provide a platform for young girls from across the UK to discuss their fears and aspirations with women from the media, police, academia, music, art and politics.
